Meet the Team
Leswa (ለእሷ) Initiative was founded by two high school sophomore girls in the USA who are passionate about supporting girls in Ethiopia. Leswa was chosen as our name because it means "for her" in Amharic, the national language of Ethiopia. We are dedicated to empowering girls in Ethiopia to pursue their education and achieve their full potential. We believe that every girl has the right to define her own future and make a positive impact in her community. Our initiative is committed to providing the necessary support and resources to help girls overcome obstacles and thrive in their academic journey. Through resources, access to educational materials, and community engagement, we aim to create a brighter future for the next generation of female leaders.
